Canon EOS 5D Mark II: Details of the upcoming release of Canons full frame replacement for the Canon EOS 5D have been leaked, and from what I have heard the future Canon EOS 5D Mark II will beat anything else on the market with the following specifications:
- 24 Million Pixels
- 25600 ISO
- New battery with autonomy recognition
- New Grip BG-R 6
- DIGIC IV Processor
- Live View
- Magnesium Alloy Body
- Dust Removal System
- Compatible with both EF Lenses & EX speedlite
- HD Video recording at 720p & 1080i
The leak also indicates an official launch of the Canon EOS 5D Mark II on Tuesday 16 September, there has been no leaked street price but speculation is around the 2600 Euro mark.
Along with this 5D replacement there is also expected to be two other full frame releases, the names of which have not been leaked, but speculation points the use of the following names EOS 6D, EOS 7D
If this leak is indeed real Nikon truly have a lot to be worried about, sales of Nikon’s latest full frame camera the Nikon D700 have been disastrous, with many professional photographers already in the Canon camp and those looking at their first purchase waiting to at least see what Canon will release.
This quarter has been exciting time in the Camera and professional photography industry with the earlier launch of Nikon’s D700, this week’s launch of Sony’s 900 and the soon to be announced EOS model renewal.
