It looks like Canon Australia have set or notified Australian dealers of the recommended retail price for the Canon EOS 5D Mark II. The price of AU$4299 is not yet on the Canon Australia website but has been listed on the websites of most Australian Camera dealers.

BTW A quick search of one of the popular shopping comparison sites reveals the cheapest price is AU$3785 (That’s only US$2487 :) with the current AU/US$ exchange rate) at Cameras Direct: Canon EOS 5D Mark II
